A total of 59 roundtable sponsors in 43 states participated in the second year of the National Credibility Roundtables Project. They included 52 daily newspapers, 5 online news organizations and 2 TV newsrooms.
5 newspapers (4 of which held roundtables in 2001) and 2 TV newsrooms agreed to hold "deadline" community conversations on media credibility directly after the Jayson Blair/New York Times incident and are denoted here with an asterisk (*).
Editors and facilitators gathered for a kickoff session to discuss credibility issues and to learn how to organize an effective roundtable discussion between a newspaper and its readers.
Participants were encouraged to choose a specific topic for their roundtable in order to faciliate conversation.
Here are the 2002/2003 Roundtables listed by state. First choose a state to the right. Then click on a report or story link to learn more about a newspaper's roundtable.
